Arts: Fund It!

This was our first and is our most enduring project. It started back in 2017 when saxophonist Mel Wishart, knowing the time for HonkOz Festival was approaching and wanting to encourage the potential of an all femme musical troupe, devised our ‘funeral for the death of arts funding’. Reworking the lyrics of Salt-N-Pepa’s wonderful song Push It, we formed a funeral procession, carrying a coffin and dressed to mourn the death of government funding for the arts.
