The Femmes Submerged

In 2021 Femmes drummer and visual artist Lesley Goldacre embarked on a project to photograph the Femmes underwater at our favourite rehearsal location, Austinmer Ocean Pool.

The project was a development by Lesley of her personal art practice representing and recognising the significant creative talent that lives beneath the surface of the mainstream, and the importance of creative work in the health and identity of community. The work was exhibited at group show at Red Point Gallery in December 2021, where of course, we Femmes played up a storm.
